How to Upscale DVD to HD

    Upscaling DVD Players

    • 1). Purchase an upscaling DVD player. These can be purchased from a number of online websites including Fry's, Best Buy and Amazon.

    • 2). Connect the power adapter to the upscaling DVD player and plug the adapter into a power outlet.

    • 3). Plug one end of the HDMI cable into the upscaler and plug the other end into the HDMI output on the television.

    • 4). Open the upscaling DVD player's disc tray and insert the DVD of your choice.

    • 5). Play the DVD with the upscaling DVD player to achieve an upscaled DVD image.

    Media Player Applications

    • 1). Insert the DVD into the disc drive of the computer.

    • 2). Open a media player application such as VLC, Quicktime or iTunes.

    • 3). Play the DVD in the media player application. By default, the media player will upscale the image to the computer's highest resolution.
