- 1). Place the egg into the machine. Most machines use a high-speed galvanometer, semiconductor lasers and Q switches to keep the operation of the laser beam precise.
- 2). Program the design into the machine. If you have any text, depending on the software and the machine manufacturer, you can usually type that into the interface. Pictures from a variety of formats can be uploaded; typical formats include BMP, JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIF and so on. Vector images with the DXF, PLT and DST suffixes are generally compatible. You can also adjust for fills as desired.
- 3). Run the machine per the manufacturer's instructions. When the machine indicates that the egg is finished, remove it and handle it gently.
