Witchcraft has been around since the creation of the human race. It is often thought of as being very eery, evil, and linked to the devil somehow. The truth of the matter is that witchcraft is never used to bring about harm and has absolutely nothing to do with Satan. Witchcraft in and of itself is a very phenomenal system of cause and effect. It is part of the pagan and Wiccan religion. Basically, it is a spiritual technique or practice used to bring about change through the use of sheer willpower and strong belief that a spell will work. Under the laws of the pagan/Wiccan religion, it is prohibited for witchcraft to be used to cause harm to anyone or anything. It is never to be used in any mischievous way to influence or dominate another against their free will. It is the belief of the pagan and Wiccan religion that karma will be dreadfully affected if witchcraft is used in a negative way.
In witchcraft, the working of spells will often involve the use of many different things depending on why the spell is being cast. The customary standard paraphernalia usually will involve the use of herbs, oils, gemstones, candles, and incense to symbolize the elements of air, earth, fire, and water that are necessary for the completion of a successful spell. What phase the moon is in at the time of the spell makes an immense difference as to whether a spell will fail or not. When the moon is full is the most favorable time for casting spells, and rituals are done in honor of the full moon as well.
The most common types of witchcraft spells are those used for the purpose of healing often incorporating the use of herbs. The healing properties of herbs cannot be denied and have been integrated in the use of witchcraft for centuries. Each herb is believed to have different powerful healing abilities and healing spells are cast by their accordance.
Certainly, there are other numerous reasons why one might cast a spell. This may include spells for protection against anything, psychic or spiritual spells, spells for the enhancement of luck, and for self-improvement. There are spells aimed at helping and protecting the environment in general. These are all reasons that should sway ones judgement about whether witchcraft is truly out to get you. If you still cannot accept this as true, it may be that you have seen one too many movies on the subject.
