- 1). Plug your MP3 player into the computer using the Mini USB adapter than came with it. Open the drive when prompted by your operating system. This blank drive holds your MP3s.
- 2). Copy your MP3 files to the Zen Stone folder. Your player will play any MP3s it finds in alphanumeric order, starting with numbers, continuing with symbols, and concluding with the alphabet. Remember that this player doesn't read metadata. As a result, you'll need to precede your file names with numbers to let the player know which order to play the tracks in.
- 3). Use folders to organize playlists or entire albums. Create a new folder and place your desired MP3s inside. If single files and folders are in the same location, the player will select the single MP3s first. Keep this in mind as you organize your files.
- 4). Use a limited number of folders when organizing your files. While folders can be an extremely helpful tool for file organization, the Zen Stone player only supports three layers of folders. Files that are inside a fourth layer of folders will be skipped over.
