How to determine the firmware version on your Nook

Things You'll Need

Instructions

1

Hold the rectangular button on the top of your Nook device for a few seconds until the screen flashes to life and indicates that your Nook is powering on.
2

Push the "Home" button on your Nook's LCD screen and scroll to the right until you see the "Settings" button. Tap the "Settings" button.
3

Look under the heading "Software" where it says "Software Version." This is the version of the firmware your Nook is currently running. Double check with the Barnes and Noble website to make sure it is the most recent.
