Flaming Kabob

People just have to let me know. They go to a restaurant in the greater Phoenix area, and they either loved it or hated it--there's not much in between! I created these pages so that you, the visitors to About.com Phoenix, could have your say. As for the rating, one star is the worst, five stars is the best.

Now, a word of warning--every once in a while I'll get a review from someone who has a specific agenda in mind.

A really bad review might be from a disgruntled employee. A really good review might be from the owner or manager. Unless I specifically mention that I have edited a review for some reason, you see the comments posted here exactly as I received them.

As a muslim I am very careful as to where I eat both for religous as well as health reasons. I.e. like you I am very picky. This is the best of the best - very family oriented. My kids were playing with the owners kids. I now return as often as possible because my kids miss the place if we do not go there. As for the food, I have thus far tasted everything off the menu plus some dishes made especially for my family. Enough said - I am hungry - see you at Flaming Kabob.

The Flaming Kabob has FANTASTIC food and great hookah selections. The restaurant has been completely renovated from the 5-in Diner it used to be.

Plush booths, bright colored walls, and tiki torches outside make the ambiance just great. They have plenty of vegetarian/ vegan options, which is very important for animal and planet welfare, as well as family health, and they are willing to accommodate nearly any dish to suit your needs. The only thing I dislike as an environmentalist is that they get all of their ingredients shipped to AZ from Michigan... So if something is out of season there, they don't have it, even if it is on the menu. Beside that, Flaming Kabob is fantastic! Highly addictive. Falafel, Baba Ganoush, Veggie Kabob and Veggie Gyros are INCREDIBLE!

Best Kebab's and Hummus in the valley. The decor needs to be updated and it is not upscale at all, but the owner/head cook will be there everyday of the week speaking with a strong arabic accent and will make you Kibbee, Falafel, and Shish that will make you feel like you were in the middle east. You can even take a hookah on the patio while he presses you fresh juice. Go casual enjoy the combo for two that will feed 3-4.
