This issue (or close variations of it) is one of the biggest "problems" that holds back potential top earners! I'll show you a few simple ways to cleverly overcome the "How can I get people to work with me when they see I haven't ever recruited anyone?" objection and begin to make money as soon as possible! If you're anything like me, than you love to check out the top MLM leaders and try to emulate what they're doing...
But then you come to a standstill because you realize that all their sites, emails, and recruiting techniques are based around their crazy-high results.
So, instead of saying "Well I can't do that!", learn something from it.
When you DO generate results, it's a great marketing technique to leverage those results to get even more people interested.
But how do you get those FIRST people to be interested in your business...
before you have any impressive results to wave around? Let me first tell you what I did, and then I'll give you some creative ways to describe yourself and your situation that will look appealing to your prospects.
If I remember correctly, 5 of the first 6 people that I recruited into the Numis Network were people that I did blog services for.
Seriously! And not one of them had any interest in joining me beforehand.
But because we worked so closely together for a short while, they eventually saw that I knew a little bit and could offer them something.
Mostly, they joined because they liked me, and they would like me for an upline.
They didn't know that I hadn't really recruited anyone before...
What does that mean for you? Be on the lookout for ways to work very closely with potential prospects.
Honestly, I would say that it would be one of the best business decisions you ever made to learn how to set up blogs and do a set up service.
But, some other ways to work closely with prospects are to ask questions to your list, offer some free consults (with a requirement that they do something, maybe buy a product), or even do paid coaching sessions.
You're probably still saying "Well that sounds nice...
but how do I draw people to me without any prior success?" One way I like to present myself on web pages or on the phone is to talk about how my team is "intimate" and I still have time to offer one-on-one coaching, unlike the uber-recruiters who don't have the time to.
That's a great line, first because the word "intimate" sounds a lot better than saying "tiny" or even "non-existent".
Then, it's also a clever way to make you seem like a better sponsor than Mr.
Success.
Another idea is to avoid answering questions about how much you make.
I used to say something like "As a rule I don't tell anyone how much I make...
" or "I was in profit my very first month and I've been doing that ever since.
" That sounds pretty good but it was only like $150 profit.
Even though it's a little bit, a lot of people hear the words "in profit" and it acts as sort of a trigger (most people would kill to be in profit) The main principle here is that you need to use a little creative energy and figure out different ways to represent yourself (truthfully, of course) without telling people you're struggling and haven't recruited a soul.
Just remember to focus on what you CAN offer potential teammates, not what you can't.
For example, throw in bonuses of free coaching whenever you can...
that's probably the best advice I can give you on how to begin growing your little team!
