By the end of the action today the only thing we will be sure of at World Cup Spread Betting is the winners and runner's up in group A and Group B.
Group A matches kick off simultaneously at 3.
00pm with Mexico v Uruguay and France v South Africa.
Then at 7.
30pm, its group B with Greece v Argentina and Nigeria v Korea.
Everything else is very much up in the air at the moment and most of it is nothing to do with what's happening on the pitch.
The wheels have definitely come off the French World Cup wagon this morning with reports that some of the French players may boycott the match against South Africa which takes place in Bloemfontein later today.
The dispute which started with a dressing room bust up between Nicolas Anelka and coach Domenech has now grow into a monster of huge proportions that now includes most of France from President Sarkozy down to the humble fan on the street.
French Football Federation officials have resigned, Government ministers have been dispatched to South Africa and the media are having a field day.
There are now so many heads on this monster that no one knows where the next one is coming from.
Domenech, who read out the player's statement when they refused to train on Sunday, has now said that he should have pointed out that he did not support the player's decision.
The general secretary of the FFF told a French newspaper that the revolt was led by a few players who were past their prime and would not play in the world cup again.
Domenech, The FFF president and coaching staff tried to convince the players that what they were doing was wrong.
Back home in France, politicians and media have mostly condemned the player's actions with sports minister Roselyne Bachelot saying a full investigation into the incident would be carried out after the tournament.
She then confronted the players under instructions from president Sarkozy, because the reputation of France was at stake.
She then went on to tell the players that they had tarnished the image of France and destroyed the dreams of their countrymen, friends and supporters and could no longer be heroes for our children.
French sports paper L'Equipe called it cowardliness while Le Figaro called it collective suicide saying French football had been reduced to ashes.
A little bit of advice for French football from the fans of Ireland.
Next time you have a play off with us, let us win and we'll happily take your place at the party.
How a simple thing like a hand ball can snow ball into a total balls up.
Meanwhile over at Camp England the wheels are still on their wagon but only just.
After John Terry's famous press conference on Sunday, Fabio Capello has held his own interview with the media in which he said that Terry had made a mistake and then went on to quantify it as a big mistake.
He told ITV that when you speak you must do it privately.
Terry later backed down after he found he didn't have the support of the other players.
Capello said he spoke to some of the other players and said he thought it was only Terry who held these views.
He went on to say.
"No one speak with me about the problems, my door is open always if they want to speak".
"Every time we meet I ask the captain, problems? I read that John Terry said this.
I don't understand why he don't speak with me every time".
So Capello 1 John Terry 0 I'd say on that little match up.
The situation remains that England has to win come Wednesday to make sure they are in the last 16.
Any other result and it leaves them looking for things to go their way in the other match.
Capello finished his interview by saying that sometimes out of a big mistake comes a big performance.
England supporters will have to get on their knees and pray that happens.
One thing is for sure unlike Domenech in the French camp; Capello still has a firm grip of his squad after he crushed that little uprising of player power that occurred on Sunday.
On the pitch, which is what we should be talking about, Portugal hammered North Korea 7-0 to put themselves in a good position in the group of death.
But with this group having to play the winners and runners up of the Spain group we could be in for some cracking matches in the last 16.
Spain finally got some points on the board after they beat Honduras 2-0, David Villa scoring both and missing a penalty as well.
Spain looked very good but seemed to want to walk the ball into the net, they should have won by a lot more.
This group could come down to goal difference so they could pay for the opportunities they missed last night.
The afternoon match saw Chile beat Switzerland 1-0 to go top of the group with 6 points but still not guaranteed to progress.
