For All You Packrats

Over time, you accumulate garbage you may not know you still have.
The best solution right now would be to clean house and sell the things that are still good enough but are already useless for you.
How do you do that? Here are tips to follow: 1.
Old clothes.
If there are things you haven't worn for over a year, put them all in a box and put a price tag on each one of these.
Someone else will have better use for them, and if they are as good as new, it's even easier to sell them.
When it comes to shoes, the ones you won't wear will get brittle.
Rubber shoes, in particular, have a certain life span.
The longer you leave them alone, the more prone they will be to break apart once you wear them.
Sell them as well while they still look good.
Someone out there is in dire need of running shoes but just don't have the means to pay for a pair at its full price.
2.
Old boyfriend gifts.
Sure, they hold emotional value for you, but like you're ex, these things belong to your past.
Your current relationship is what's most important.
Take a look at mementos that are just lying around and give them to people who need them.
While these things bring back old memories, these are also reminders of failed relationships.
Why keep them when they only bring back tears in your eyes? 3.
Old CDs.
Sure you love music, but as long as these are already in your music player, you should be fine.
Professional DJs and music aficionados will get to appreciate your collection more, and unless music is your life, these CDs are just taking up vital space.
4.
Makeup.
Of course you won't share your makeup.
First of all, it's unhygienic.
But when you buy a lot, some makeup companies give freebies for an x amount of purchase.
These are extras that you've probably never used.
See what they are and think about why you have something else better.
And if these are branded, you can certainly get good prices for these.
5.
Old magazines and books.
As soon as newer issues arrive, the magazines are pretty much useless.
As for the books, you may also have some lying around that you're no longer interested in.
With the new Kindle out in the market, you can always have copies of it in your hard drive.
Sell these to second-hand bookstores and keep the ones that you actually read.
Stashing and trashing things takes a lot of willpower.
But remember, you'll benefit from learning how to organize.
When you learn how to make money from your old items, the experience becomes even more fulfilling.
So, take a closer look at the things you have at home and start fixing.
When you make this a habit, you free yourself from the dust bunnies that accumulate along with these things.
It's actually easy because all you need to come up with right now is a simple system.
