The Number One Secret For Effective Public Speaking

Many new speakers whether in public or in semi-public settings do not have the power that they should have in their presentations.
Some of these speakers ramble or move from one point to another without any real coherence.
This is a big problem for many speakers.
In this article, I will give the one tip that will help speakers to overcome this big problem.
The number one tip that every speaker should keep in mind is to present one major point.
That is so important, please read it again.
It means that you will always have at lest one main point.
In addition, you should only have one major point.
This would mean that you don't have irrelevant asides.
You don't add new points, unless they support the main point.
This tip is so effective because it forces you to have a coherent speech.
  It gives clarity.
It helps you and the audience to know and understand what is the point.
I remember one day listening to a speech by a presenter who stylistically was a very effective speaker.
He walked around flawlessly, and he spoke authoritatively.
However, his presentation was very problematic.
People who listened to the speaker started to fidget.
They didn't know why they were having a hard time understanding the speaker.
In this case, the speaker had too many asides.
And these asides made the congregation lose track of the main point of the speech.
So if you want to lose your people, give them more than one major point.
Having one major point will help you put together effective speeches.
Your audience will at least understand.
Stylistically powerful speakers will have to take second seat to you if you have a powerful message and that message consists of one point.
