How to Get Rid of Autocomplete in Chrome

  • 1). Press the "Alt" and down-arrow keys or click the wrench icon in the top-left corner of the Chrome browser window to display the main menu. Click "Options."

  • 2). Click "Basics" on the left side of the screen.

  • 3). Clear the check from the "Enable Instant for faster searching and browsing" box.

  • 4). Click "Personal Stuff" on the left side of the screen.

  • 5). Click the "Never save passwords" radio button.

  • 6). Click the "Manage Saved Passwords" button.

  • 7). Click the "X" on the right side of each password to delete all of your saved passwords, and then click the "X" in the upper-right corner of the screen to return to the Options menu.

  • 8). Clear the check from the "Enable Autofill to fill out Web forms in a single click" box.

  • 9). Click "Under the Hood" on the left side of the screen.

    Click the "Clear Browsing Data" button.

    Click the drop-down menu next to "Obliterate the following items from" and select "the beginning of time."

    Click the "Clear saved Autofill form data" check box.
