The Best Tips For Staying Calm in Any Situation

Stressful times require calm measures and with a plan, you can put your worries to rest.
You find yourself going in a dozen directions when faced with unsettling times - any time that is not planned for and takes you unawares is a time of stress, and needs to be managed to the best of your ability until you form a plan.
Performing at your optimum can be attained with a few aides that have a calming effect of their own.
The following suggestions will put you at ease and help you control your unmanageable situations.
Visualize your situation while you rest.
How are you feeling? Are you angry, sad, or bitter, do you feel negative feelings that keep you in a state of unrest? Take time to see yourself doing things in a different manner - handling things in a more positive way.
After doing this for several days, you will begin to see yourself dealing with your situation with calm assurance.
Mentally see yourself as being forgiven, and forgive anyone that has caused you stress.
Rid yourself of any guilt and any actions you may have taken because of your feelings - making positive inroads toward your own relief will result in keeping you from experiencing further anger or hostility toward yourself or others.
If you have been hurt by another person - embrace your hurt feelings, feel the sadness, and see the truth of the matter as honestly as you can, without bitterness.
Be assured that with the forgiveness of another, your own hurt will diminish in intensity and you will start your healing process.
Nothing is to be gained by destroying your health - anger and anguish spread like a disease if not dealt with, and will destroy you by festering and growing stronger until it transforms into feeling of hatred.
If there is one way to justify hatred for someone or something, there has to be a thousand, and for that reason alone, it's vital that you realize how important it is to be free, happy, and right if you learn to forgive.
Feeling gratitude for all the good and great things in your life will help set you free from the bonds of anger, anxiety, and negativity if you will look for those things in your life, but it takes practice.
Learning to relax and enjoy quiet times is hard for most people when they first start practicing this.
Pick up a few quiet, serenity CD's and set aside an hour to just relax and let the music surround you - see yourself lying by a quiet stream, letting the soothing, running water wash away the tension that settles around your neck and shoulders.
If you fall asleep the first few times, it's OK, you'll get the hang of it as you seek relief.
This is a wonderful source of relaxation.
After practicing these activities for a few days, begin to see yourself as you truly want to be, happy, calm, and healthy, without the stress and anxiety and without ill-will towards anyone.
If you have a loved one you want with you during your daydreaming, see the two of you happy and enjoying life as you wish it to be.
Using your imagination, develop strong visualizations ridding yourself of the things that are the cause of stress - unwanted job situations, unfriendly neighbors or family members, the holidays, too little money, too much to do - you alone know what causes your dis-comfort and anxiety.
In your minds-eye, watch those situations disappear, picture them gone.
With a little daydreaming, see yourself on a dream vacation, or maybe winning your state lottery - see yourself spending all that money and having fun while doing it.
In all seriousness, visualizing can seem strange at first, but you use it every day when you daydream or imagine what you'd like to say or do.
With concentrated effort and a little practice you can make the most of each and every day just by believing it will be better than yesterday and making up your mind to making it happen.
Consider this if you will, "A fool-proof method of sculpting an elephant: first get a huge block of marble; then chip away everything that doesn't look like an elephant.

That is what you can do with your imagination while daydreaming.
