- 1). Place the watch on its side with the back side (opposite the face) facing you.
- 2). Identify the case back type. The case back will be one of two types: a hatch or a snap case. The hatch case has a small knob that is used to remove the case back. A snap case will have a flat surface that can be pulled up to expose the battery.
- 3). Remove the case back. For a hatch case, use a small screwdriver to rotate the knob. Place the screwdriver inside the groove on the knob and turn it until the cover opens. To remove the cover on a snap case, use a small flathead screwdriver. Insert the screwdriver between the base of the watch and the flat surface of the case back, and lift upwards to remove the cover and expose the battery compartment.
- 4). Replace the battery. Use a screwdriver to remove the old battery and snap a new one in its place. Replace the case back and the watch is ready to use again.
