Everyone knows what a snowblower is. Its name speaks for itself: a machine for removing snow from the places where it is not appropriate, including sidewalks, driveways, roadways, railroad tracks or runways, etc. Since the 1870 wonderfully simple but extremely helpful machines have been facilitating our winter troubles.
If talking of good quality snowblowers we may distinguish very few really worthy manufacturers. These are Ariens, Craftsman, Honda, John Deere and Toro, to name just a few.
Let's review each separately starting from the first one on the list.
Craftsman. Craftsman snowblowers accompany Sears lawnmowers. Their price starts around $350 to over $1000. These go with 4 cycle engines, thus feature more horsepower. However they are very simple in their design.
Honda. Like Honda vehicles, its snowblowers are as well close to ideal. If properly used, they may serve up to 20 years. These snow blowers are said to be easy to start in the cold weather. The company offers a 5 hp 20" single-stage snow blowers that use a 4-cycle engine. Although it is a world-class brand, it parts are available and easily found but the price bites. Honda snow blowers themselves are priced at $679 per item in average.
Ariens. If you read the experts reviews of these snow blowers you will understand that they are probably a bit under-rated. First of all they are manufactured in the USA. Ariens is a Brillion-based company (WI). That is perhaps the reason the company was started - severe snowfalls are no wonder in this region. The company has been serving the market since 1993. Ariens snow blowers are characterized as big, bold, and oxen-like built. The company manufactures and markets three single stage snow throwers using the time proven Tecumseh Snow King even in the single stages. The average cost of an Ariens is few hundred dollars ($800-...). Except for the snow blowers the company also offers lawn mowers as well.
John Deere. The company is considered to be one of the oldest manufacturers of machinery all over the world. John Deere offers single-stage and dual-stage snow blowers starting from 1100$. They are light-weight and thus are easy to store and operate.
Toro. Throughout the history of the appliance Toro's items have been the most popular. The company offers two stage models, in which it leads the pack. With the design and size, Toro switches back to a four cycle engine. Toro's snow blowers cost from as much as $ 110.
