Options There are several different options for a brick fireplace.
There are some that are simply brick faced, some go from the floor to the ceiling and others yet are simply nothing more than a box.
The most common ones today are actually the modern fireboxes, with a brick veneer face.
These types are very easy to install and for the most part look completely authentic.
These types are pre fabricated in a factory, than installed in a few easy steps.
The entire structure usually fits neatly into the cut out in the wall.
This process is so simple that a single person can do it in about an hour.
An actual fire place made of bricks, will take a bit more work.
In this case the structure is brick all the way through.
There is interior bricks and exterior bricks.
The interior is typically made from solid brick while the exterior can be brick veneer although usually the brick is solid through and through.
The type of brick can be of any color, although the traditional red brick is favored.
Some traditional real brick fireplaces also have a brick hearth, some have other material as the hearth like a marble slab, or even concrete is used.
These structures become a focal point in any room.
They are the perfect place for family and friends to gather and relax.
Regardless which type of brick fireplace your install in your home, you certainly will be glad you did.
They add character and charm, and can actually cut down quite a bit on your energy costs for heating your home.
