- Starting off the annual lobster season in New England is Lobster Days at Mystic Seaport in Mystic, Connecticut on Memorial Day weekend. On the fourth Saturday of June the Portland Lobster Festival takes place, featuring live music, competitive lobster eating contests and locally caught seafood dinners. The Maine Lobster Festival, held in Rockland, Maine in the first full week of August is the largest seafood festival in the US. Closing out lobster season is the Hampton Beach Seafood Festival held in New Hampshire on the second weekend of September.
- On the second weekend of May, the Little River Blue Crab Festival held in Little River, South Carolina, kicks off crab season in the Mid-Atlantic region. The next weekend in May, the northern Virginia seaside towns of Cromer and Sheringham throw their annual Crab & Lobster Festival featuring seafood dinners, cooking demonstrations, live music and kid's activities. Later in the year, the National Hard Crab Derby is held in Crisfield, Maryland. The festival is renowned for its crab races and nightly fireworks over the Crisfield Marina. One of the biggest culinary events in the area is Maryland Seafood Festival held on the second weekend of September in Sandy Point State Park, near Annapolis.
- Starting off the summer is the Blue Crab Festival in Patalka, Florida, held each year on Memorial Day weekend. It features blue crab dinners, chowder and gumbo contests, an annual beauty pageant and a Memorial Day parade through the downtown area. At the most southern point in the continental US, held every second week of September is the Key West Lobster Festival. It starts off Friday night with a pub crawl through historic downtown Key West and continues through Saturday's street parade, lobster feed and arts and crafts fair. In Naples, Florida, on the fourth weekend in September the Stone Crab Festival takes place with sightseeing cruises, seafood dinners from local restaurants, barbecue and a nightly block party.
- The Mendocino Crab & Wine Days is held throughout the entire fourth week of January all over Mendocino County on the Central Coast of California. The Long Beach Lobster Festival on the second week of September, serves up thousands of pounds of lobster in the world's largest lobster steamer. The Port Angeles Lobster Festival held San Pedro on third weekend of September is the largest of the California lobster festivals, and the second largest next to the Maine Lobster Festival in the US. The Redondo Beach Lobster Festival closes things out on the fourth weekend of September. Maine lobster, as well as other local food vendors ranging from Thai food to smoothies, are served beach side with lots of live music, slides and games for kids and free mechanical bull rides.
- The Crab, Seafood & Wine Festival in Astoria-Warrenton, Oregon is held on the second weekend of every April. During the last weekend of May, the island of Kodiak off the southern coast of Alaska holds its annual Kodiak Crab Festival featuring swim and track races, dances, art shows and an amusement park set up on the midway. On the second week of October, the town of Port Angeles, Washington hosts its annual Dungeness Crab Festival. The main tent offers a wide range of food made of locally caught Dungeness Crab.
