4 Get rid of his stuff. Give him back anything worth anything, and throw the rest away. This will let him know that you mean business. He has had his thinking time, and he better step up if he wants you back. You don't need to have constant reminders of him around you. Don't throw away stuff he gave you. Just hide it away until you can bear to look at it again. Whatever happens from now on, whether he sees the error of his ways and comes back, or he decides that he doesn't want the commitment, you should be ready to get on with life. If he wasn't the one, then he has done you the favor of freeing you to find the man who is right for you. He didn't slam the door in your face, and he certainly didn't dump you. You will have new doors of opportunity open up to you, and you will never be his trash!
