As we know in the transportation industry no matter how good or safe your equipment, or how well your drivers are trained there is always a possibility of an accident or injury.
We developed our first belt to fit over the handrails of a lift with no modification following a terrible accident in the Denver Colorado area with a passenger falling forward of a lift.

We looked at and studied the after market lift safety belts available and made the decision not to purchase those because we felt that drilling holes in the handles to attach the belt would weaken the structure.
This led us to design and patent an adjustable belt that fitted over the handles requiring no modification.
The belts are tested to over 1200lbs of breaking strain, which far exceeds the lifts maximum capacity.
The second belt or rear belt was developed following a series of accidents and injuries with passengers tipping over backwards into buses.
This belt again requires no modification to the lifts as it attaches to the existing bumpers or dampening kit in the case of a Bruan lift, or to existing bolts in the case of the Ricon lift.
During the development of these belts they were tested by paratransit drivers in the field on more than 150 buses, following driver feedback and suggestions the belts were adapted until they became a product that now meets and exceeds our expectations.
Drivers feel that the belts dramatically improve passenger safety and passengers feel much safer and confident while riding on the wheelchair lifts.
