    • Heated floors and heated panels are two common types of radiant heating for structures. These heating devices work by transferring heat energy from electrical cables or heated water in tubes. The heat is then transferred from specially designed floors or walls into objects within the space of a room.

    Conductive Heating

    • With the use of conductive heating, energy is transferred from the hottest object to the coolest object. In order for conductivity to take place these objects have to be located directly next to each other.

    Effectiveness

    • Conductive heating takes place primarily through the use of heated floors. Other forms of conductive heating systems for the home include solar panels and heated piping systems.

    Best Energy

    • Radiant heat is the most cost-efficient form of heating available for a home, and this type of heating warms up homes quickly. Conductive heating for homes is not an effective way to warm up a residence and there isn't a lot of equipment available for this purpose.
