Daniel 'Lawrence' Burke and 'Pat' Adsit Burke is a unique couple in their own right. They were born as two separate individuals with a common interest of fine arts, but today they exist as a single entity under the name Pat Lawrence. This name is a pseudo name they use in their novels which they have co written and is derived from both of their names.
The two started working together in 2007 as actors not authors. They were chosen to act as a married couple Charlotte and George in the funny theater act by Ken Ludwig titled "Moon over Buffalo". Their partnership was sealed by a kiss during a scene in the play and led to not only a happy marriage but a successful business partnership.
Murder-By-Design came into being and it is owned and run by the two. They immediately started writing a couple of murder mysteries, which is the type they both enjoyed.. To his day Murder-By-Design has about six scripts in circulation.
Performing has always been in their blood and it was only a matter of time before they went back into it. They came up with a two man show which they wrote based on the different experiences they had had in their lives. This show was called Squirrels in the Attic and was very successful from the beginning that up to date a select few venues in Midwestern host the performance of this particular show.
In 2011 after having seen and enjoyed the success of their scripts and play they decided to take it a step further and write a book. The major challenge was how they were going to be able to write one book together. They then deliberated and decided to come up with a common theme and then work from there to come up with plots, characters and scenarios.
Jarred into Being was their very first serving. It was based on a character Eva who struggled to remain free from being possessed by other individuals whose paths crossed hers. Different authors have reviewed this book and most had good things to say about it.
Seeing how successful the first novel was and from the great reviews and comments Pat and Daniel decided to give their readers another great novel. The response that they got from their second serving An illegal President was even more than they expected and far better than the first. The plot and story behind An illegal president made it the best work from Pat Lawrence to date as it adds a bit of controversy in a mysterious yet fictitious way.
With two novels in circulation both physically and online, Pat Lawrence as a name is slowly but surely spreading. The phrase there is strength in numbers does not make sense to other people, but in Pat and Daniel's case it has worked and has led to their success. They drew from each other's expertise and the end product is being appreciated by the world over. The public can only imagine what it is that Pat Lawrence has in store for their fans next.
