- 1). Write up your shopping list. In order to stay diverse with your attempt at raw fooding, you are going to need a good supply of fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, a powerful blender and a decent dehydrator.
- 2). Get yourself a good book. Every day there are more and more raw food cook books popping up in stores and online. I highly suggest you get yourself on the end of one of them. They are chock-full of recipes, tips, facts and advice that you will find very handy.
- 3). Find raw foodists in your area. If you put forth a concerted effort just through word of mouth alone, I know for a fact that you can find someone in your locale that is into raw foods. See if they would be willing to meet with you so you can pick their brain about how they do it, what their reasons are, advice on how to prepare dishes. They will most definitely be flattered and more than willing to help in any way they can.
- 4). Start a weekly dinner group. This is a fun way to get creative with recipes and to network with other people about the raw food lifestyle. You can simply get this in motion by putting up flyers in your local health food stores or putting ads on the Internet and local newspapers.
- 5). Stay disciplined. Completely changing your conventional ways of eating altogther is not an easy task at hand. It takes work and it takes dedication. Just make daily, gradual progress and before you know it, you will be selling your oven and microwave at your annual multi-family yard sale down at the end of the street.
