There are a variety of organic pest control recipes that can be made at home and are safe to use.
Insecticidal Soap Take a quart spray bottle filling it with water and a couple tablespoons of dish soap.
If this will be sprayed on plants add a little vegetable oil as well so it sticks to it better.
Spray this in areas that you are dealing with smaller garden pests and other indoor pests.
This will cover them and make it hard for them to breath.
It's a good, safe spray to make.
Sugar Water Attractant This is a very simple recipe.
Take some sugar, white or brow, and mix with water.
Make this nice and thick versus runny.
This can be put into traps.
For garden pests you can bury a jar so it's even with the soil filled halfway full of this mixture to catch them.
Use this in a milk jug to deal with wasps making sure it's hung at least four feet off the ground.
Put this in a two liter bottle to deal with flies and gnats.
Organic Repellents There are many "stinky" substances that repel pests.
Garlic, hot pepper, black pepper, and onions mixed individually with water or all together makes repellents that work really well against pests.
Put these in spray bottles and use them around the house.
For some indoor pests peppermint oil will also work mixed with water to repel.
Spray this around your cupboards and cabinets to deal with pests getting into your food.
