General Troubleshooting

• 1). Connect the small end of the USB cable included with the PlayStation 3 to the top port on the DualShock 3 controller
  
  
• 2). Connect the larger end of the USB cable to one of the USB ports on the front of the PlayStation 3 console.
  
  
• 3). Press the "PS" button at the center of the controller. This powers on the console and syncs the controller to the PS3.
  
  
• 4). Keep the controller connected to the PS3 to recharge the controller's internal battery.
  
  

Resetting the Controller

• 1). Flip the controller so you're looking at the rear label.
  
  
• 2). Use a paperclip to press the small button near the top-right corner of the label on the back the controller. Hold the button in for several seconds.
  
  
• 3). Release the button and reconnect the DualShock 3 controller to the PS3 using the PS3's USB cable.
  
  
• 4). Press the "PS" button on the controller to sync it to the console.
