- 1). Register for the show. This could be a sign-in sheet at local shows or a formal application with fees and assigned exhibitor numbers for district or national shows.
- 2). Get a copy of the show schedule as soon as possible to plan which classes you will enter based on your supply of Noisette flowers.
- 3). Allocate your roses. Local shows will have basic horticulture classes, while district and national shows have challenge classes that attract the best exhibitors. Pick the most perfect roses for challenge or best of show classes.
- 4). Fill out entry tags the day before the show. List an exhibitor's number if you have one. Put these items with your other show supplies.
- 1). Select the cuttings you will exhibit several days before the show. Noisettes can be exhibited by a cutting of old wood with the flower cluster growing from it.
- 2). Put individual Noisette sprays in a 4-inch-diameter plastic drain pipe and put these in half gallon cardboard milk cartons with tops removed in a cardboard box for local shows. Fill the cartons with 2 inches of diluted Floralife flower food solution.
- 3). Keep Noisettes refrigerated in a cooler for traveling longer distances. Fill with half gallon milk cartons and add pipes with flower sprays. Put in frozen coolant bags and close the lid. Do not open until you are at the show.
- 4). Ship roses by plane to shows more than 500 miles away. Protect each bloom with a foam cup and foliage with plastic cups. Insert each stem into a small piece of moist Oasis foam and wrap it with aluminum foil. Put in pipes in cartons. Use rope or bungee cords to secure the cooler.
- 1). Arrive as early as organizers allow to claim the best setup area and exhibit vases, which vary from clear glass to test tubes mounted on wooden blocks
- 2). Groom your exhibits by polishing leaves with a soft cloth and trimming leaves with cuticle scissors. Remove any aphids with tweezers, recut the stem underwater at an angle and place the spray in vase with Floralife flower food.
- 3). Attach prepared entry tags with a rubber band or insert in a slot in the wood.
- 4). Position your Noisette sprays to show their best sides to the judges.
