Hemorrhoid Treatment Options - Steps You Can Take to Reduce & Cure Hemorrhoids Naturally & Gently

Hemorrhoids are a common problem and may inflict more than 50% of the adult population.
Fortunately hemorrhoids, or piles as they are sometimes called, may often be cured with simple procedures or even occasionally may cure themselves without any treatment whatsoever.
If you suspect that you have a hemorrhoid problem, here are the symptoms you may be experiencing: 1.
Slight bleeding as evidenced by observing blood on the toilet tissue or present on the stools.
2.
Slight itching in the rectal area.
This may progress to severe itching or burning sensation 3.
Incomplete bowel movements.
4.
A soft lump at the anal anal opening.
5.
Severe pain in the anal area.
Whilst the bleeding from hemorrhoids is not usually of serious concern, it is advisable to see a doctor about any bleeding to ensure it is not caused by a more serious condition.
To properly diagnose hemorrhoids the doctor will do a rectal examination by inserting a gloved lubricated finger into the rectum to feel for the presence of hemorrhoids.
The doctor may use an anoscope inserted into the last few inches of the rectum to enable him to view the size, location and number of hemorrhoids present.
External hemorrhoids can be observed easily by the the doctor and can be felt as a pronounced bump in the area around the anus.
It is the external hemorrhoids which can cause severe and excruciating pain.
If surgery is required, there are a number of different methods available, but for prolapsed hemorrhoids and thrombosed external hemorrhoids a hemorrhoidectomy is usually recommended.
It may be that you can cure hemorrhoids naturally yourself by making some slight life-style changes.
The most effective measures are: 1.
Eat between 25 to 30 grams of fiber a day.
2.
Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day 3.
Avoid sitting for hours at a desk and do more physical activity 4.
Eat natural foods which promote soft stools making elimination easy.
5.
Strive to maintain a healthy weight.
Pain may be relieved by sitz baths, ice packs and the application of soothing herbal creams.
Some herbal remedies have astringent properties which can have the effect of decreasing inflammation and narrowing blood vessels.
These herbs are usually blended with others which are soothing and help the skin heal from wounds and because they stimulate the immune system help cure and prevent infections.
Using a herbal remedy will often not only prevent hemorrhoids from becoming worse and therefore helping the sufferer to avoid surgery, but can effect a complete and lasting cure.
