45th Annual Indiana Black Expo Summer Celebration


Indiana Black Expo's Summer Celebration is one of the largest events in Indianapolis all year. The organization uses its largest event as an opportunity to an effective voice and vehicle for the social and economic advancement of African-Americans. The expo will feature educational conferences, family events, many concerts and much more.

Animals and All That Jazz


Visitors to the Indianapolis Zoo get a special treat during summer Thursday evenings during the "Animals and All That Jazz" series. Enjoy jazz music while taking in the sights and sounds of the animals. The exhibits are open until 7 p.m. Picnic tables are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Lawn chairs are welcome. "Animals and All That Jazz" is free for Zoo members and included with regular Zoo admission.

'West Side Story'


West Side Story is one of the greatest musicals and love stories of all time. Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” is transported to 1950’s New York City as two idealistic lovers find themselves caught between warring street gangs, the “American” Jets and the Puerto Rican Sharks. Their struggle to survive in a world of hate, violence and predjudice is one of the most heart-wrenching musical dramas of our time. Nominated for six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Footlite’s Young Adults production will feature performers ranging in age from 18 to 25. Tickets are $10-$15.

Hoosier Antique Expo


The Hoosier Antique Expo is rapidly growing into a robust representation of the Midwest’s finest, and collectively diverse, antique dealers. The show is dedicated to serving collectors of all ages that demand an array of unique and refined items, a commitment to quality and authenticity, and an opportunity to enjoy the hunt for that unique piece. All in an environment that exceeds contemporary expectations. Admission is $8. Parking is $5.

Bastille Day Celebration


Enjoy a little French culture and history right here in Indiana! This Bastille Day celebration features plenty of French food, music, entertainment. The event caters to families, offering fun things like face painting, a bounce house and even a French-themed puppet show. At dusk, enjoy a beautiful candle-light lantern procession for the children - a French tradition for Bastille Day. The event ends with a special laser light show across a large screen. This event is free and open to everyone!

James Taylor

Jimmy Pardo Live at Morty's Comedy Joint


Once known for his jokes, Jimmy Pardo now uses his comedy skills through improv and interacting with the crowd during his shows. In addition to stand-up comedy, Jimmy became a podcasting pioneer when he began hosting the raucous-but-smart weekly podcast Never Not Funny, which Entertainment Weekly called “one of the sharpest and gut-bustingest shows on the Internet.” 
 
When he's not performing his own shows, Jimmy utilizes his trademark crowd work skills as Conan O'Brien's opening act at “Conan” tapings. Jimmy has also appeared on “Conan” as a panel guest, a field correspondent and recently filled in for Andy Richter as co-host. He also conducts the unconventional celebrity backstage interviews for TeamCoco.com’s “The Pardo Patrol.” Tickets are $18.
