- 1). Cut an access hole in the wall behind the shower faucet with a keyhole saw. Make the hole large enough to accommodate a fourteen inch access door panel.
- 2). Shut off the home's main water supply in the basement, well house or at the city's water meter.
- 3). Open the outside spigots and any other faucets that are lower than the shower faucet to drain excess water and pressure.
- 4). Remove the Delta faucet handle, escutcheon and face plate with a screwdriver.
- 5). Cut each of the water supply pipes and the shower riser pipe approximately four to six inches from the faucet body. Pull the faucet out off the wall.
