- 1). Turn the Xbox 360 console on and place a game disc into the disc drive. Choose the option "My Xbox", and the name of the selected game should appear in the first box.
- 2). Select the "Y" button on the Xbox 360 controller and three additional options will be presented.
- 3). Choose "Install to Hard Drive", and the game will begin to install directly to the hard drive. This will minimize any disc reading during the game play. Installing the game to the hard drive will also reduce the amount of power the system requires at the moment.
- 4). Attach an Xbox 360 Intercooler to the back of the Xbox 360. This will help prevent the system from overheating and making excessive processing noise.
- 5). Place the Xbox 360 in a well ventilated area, free from dust. The better the air flow going into the game system, the less processing the console will require.
