- One of the most important aspects of a toga party is dressing up in toga costumes. Tell your guests in the party invitations to come dressed in their best toga attire, as you will be awarding a prize to the winner. After everyone arrives, have each guest model her outfit. Judge by a round of applause and award a prize to the best-dressed toga guest. For additional winners, award prizes to the most realistic, best accessories and funniest toga costume.
- Put a spin on the classic "Bobbing for Apples" by having your guests bob for olives. Fill a bucket with green olives and set a timer for 30 seconds. Place a bowl beside the bucket. Ask the guests see how many olives they can get out of the bucket and into the bowl in 30 seconds. Tell the guests to put their hands behind their back while bobbing for the olives. To make the game harder, put ice cubes in the bucket with the olives. If you do not have olives, use grapes.
- Use a large metallic curtain to create a backdrop for toga pictures. Ask someone to volunteer to take pictures throughout the party, or for a few people to take shifts. Guests can take pictures individually and in groups with friends. Ask guests to leave their email addresses so you can email them the pictures. If you have a camera connection for your computer or television, hook it up before the guests leave so they can see some of the pictures taken during the event. You can also award a few prizes for best, funniest and most creative photos.
- Divide the players into two teams and have each team select one player from the team to be the "toga model." The toga model must put on a shirt and shorts. When you say, "Go," each team must take a white bed sheet and create a toga for their team model. The first team to complete the toga costume on their team model wins the game. For a variation, have everyone select a partner and play this game in pairs. One partner must dress the other partner in a toga. The first pair finished wins the game.
