Can An Invisible Fence Make Your Physical Fence Outdated?

If you are a dog owner, chances are you have a physical fence to keep your dog confined to your premises.
It's also likely that your dog often jumps over, or gets past, the fence when it wants to roam.
You probably need to tether your dog when guests come to visit, because you're not sure how it's going to behave, especially as it has a preference for succulent ankles.
Also, you can never get your rose garden done, with your pet's penchant for digging in the flower beds.
Does this sound like an unsolvable problem? Actually, it's not.
All you need is an invisible fence.
A what? Bet that was your reaction.
An invisible fence is not something Harry Potter or Sabrina The Teenage Witch conjured up.
It's an electronic system that serves to keep your pet confined to your property, or within bounds defined by you.
An electronic fence consists of wires that you need to bury under the ground, along the perimeter of the area within which you want to confine your pet.
The wires help transmit signals to and from a receiver and transmitter system you can keep in your garage.
When your dog approaches the perimeter, a signal tells you it is about to transgress its geographical limits.
You can then use the transmitter to send your pet a mild correction, via a collar around its neck that has a couple of sensors, to facilitate the communication process.
Over time, say, about two weeks, your dog learns his boundaries, and can roam around freely, without having to be tethered.
Best of all, your flower beds, and your pool are safe.
This invisible fence system is especially useful in neighborhoods where you are not allowed to have a traditional fence.
