Getting Back to Basics Through the Power of Yoga

Getting back to basics may not sound like your cup of tea, but if you are someone that lives at work or is constantly on the run chances are you are rather stressed.
Stress may only come and go for you during the day when it gives you a headache or causes you to become tired, but in actuality it lingers within your body for hours afterward.
One path to try to lower your stress and increase your Zen, is to begin a yoga routine everyday for just a few minutes.
The theory of getting back to basics is one of simplicity, before everyone popped pills for minor aches and pains and before they only got four hours of sleep at night.
Many years ago television and the internet were not forms of entertainment.
Back then if you had free time during the day you played games with your family, took up knitting or read a good book.
Those are all activities that warm the soul and release stress from your body.
They are also activities that most people do not engage in anymore and if they did, they would have much better focus when they went to work and a more pleasant demeanor.
Yoga can provide that inner peaceful feeling that some people cannot get into their lives by reading or knitting as they simply do not have the time to do so.
By just engaging in yoga poses for fifteen minutes a day you can change your entire lifestyle and become a happier person.
When you are stressed the body sets off an alarm inside of it and it immediately raises your blood pressure, causes you to experience fatigue and also adds on the pounds.
Yoga will instill breathing techniques that can be used even when you experience stress at work or at home.
You simply use one of the poses you learned and breathe peacefully for a few minutes and you will be more centered and feel more at ease.
It only takes a matter of weeks to lower your blood pressure by taking up yoga and you can also notice the changes your body is making as well.
You will become a longer and more toned person from yoga and your posture will begin to change first.
Having great posture is a wonderful way to avoid back pain and to keep yourself out of the chiropractor's office.
As you get older your posture is the first thing to go and you can begin to hunch over and cause extreme pain in your back, which is instantly corrected through yoga poses.
Use the yoga as your method of getting back to basics that can make you a happier individual and help you enjoy what is truly valuable in your life.
When is the last time you sat with no interruptions to do nothing but just think in a quiet atmosphere? Probably not since you were a child, and it is that peacefulness that is taking away from you having a stress free life.
Practice yoga a few times per week, eat healthier and take the time to sit and enjoy life for a few moments everyday and you will completely change your perception of life.
