  Breckenridge, Colorado is in the Rocky Mountains and near the Dillon Reservoir, where visitors will find a host of outdoor activities including white-water rafting, hiking, mountain biking and much more. According to the 2000 census report, the town has just over 2,400 residents. The Breckenridge Ski Resort brings in many tourists for its miles of ski slopes.
  
  

Sugar Loafin' Campground

• Sugar Loafin' Campground is located just a short trip outside Breckenridge, in the Rocky Mountains. The grounds has drive-thru and back-in RV sites with full hookups including sewer, water and 30- or 50-amp electric. The tent sites have water and a raised tent platform. All of the sites have a picnic table and fire ring with a barbecue grill. The campground have bathrooms, showers, a recreation room with a fireplace, a playground, a camp store and a laundry room.

Western Inn Motel and RV Park

• The Western Inn Motel and RV Park is located just 23 miles from Breckenridge and close to the White River, where campers can find white-water rafting and other outdoor activities. The RV park provide full hookups including sewer, water, cable television and up to 50-amp electric. There are picnic tables, barbecue grills and showers available to all the campers--plus, if you decide to stay a week, then the seventh night is free.

Dillon Ranger District of White River

• The Dillon Ranger District of White River has several campsites surrounding Breckenridge. There is one group campsite and 14 individual campsites around the reservoir and White River. Most of the sites have water, vault toilets and garbage service, but are basic. The district has 200 miles of hiking trails, 150 miles of mountain-biking trails and numerous snowmobile trails running through Vail Pass. The winter months bring visitors to the four major ski resorts in the Ranger District.
