Boardslide is a cool trick to show off if you can get hold of it.
It is not very hard to master the trick which makes it very interesting.
You need to know the right tricks to boardslide or it can take you ages to your boardslide right.
However if you know the tricks, it can be a breeze.
Boardslide is also one of the first tricks that I learned.
For the benefit of those who are new to skateboarding, let me give the definition of boardslide.
A boardslide is when you skate along a rail or a curb and Ollie up unto it.
The important thing is to get your balance as you will be sliding on the rail on the middle of your skateboard.
At the end of the rail, you need to land the board properly and skate away.
I assume you know how to skate by now.
The other skills that you need to master before you can attempt the boardslide are Ollie and frontside 180 and backside 180.
You need to know how to spin your body, because you need to spin to land the middle of your skateboard on the rail.
If you cannot Ollie high just yet, or you have problem in landing, try on lower rails first.
This would lessen the potential bruises that you might suffer along the way.
I suggest you work on your landing as it helps to do the trick better.
You need to work on your boardslide on the same rail first, until you get the timing right, to ollie at the end of the rail and land correctly.
If you did not ollie at the right time, you will slide right to the floor!
