Manchester is known to have areas of specialism for its restaurants and takeaways. The three most popular areas being Chinatown, the Curry Mile and Little Italy.
Manchester's dining repertoire heavily features Indian restaurants with nearly 100 takeaways and restaurants along the Curry Mile. Generally, most of these restaurants and takeaways stay open well into the early hours of the morning, hence making the area a popular hangout for the student population in Manchester and not forgetting the hard core club goers.
Manchester is a diverse city and one of its largest populations is Asian. This ethnicity is well represented by a variety of Chinese, Thai, Indian, Japanese takeaways, eateries and restaurants. The majority can be found in the Chinatown but Manchester represents Asian food well across the city and there are some great takeaways and restaurants that offer real authentic Asian cuisine. With the largest Chinatown outside of London, it is not difficult to find a good place to eat good authentic food.
