- 1). Contact an independent sales representative from the company you wish to host. Find this information in your local phone book, online or ask friends or acquaintances who have hosted a cookware party. Schedule your party with the representative.
- 2). Obtain a host instruction sheet, invitations and product catalogues from the representative. The sales representative typically provides the invitations and an instruction sheet with tips for hosting a successful party, aimed toward that company's specific methods of presenting the product to your guests. If you have some product catalogues before the party, you can take orders from friends who won't be able to attend.
- 3). Make up your guest list and mail the invitations. Include your name, phone number, address and request an RVSP. Mail the invitations at least two weeks in advance. If sending email invitations, you'll want to verify the recipients received the invitation, by way of a phone call or email verification.
- 4). Discuss with your sales representative what type of refreshment to supply for the party. In some cookware parties, the refreshments are in theme with the featured product.
- 5). Call or email those on your guest list on the morning of the party for a friendly reminder.
- 6). Clean or straighten the area in your home where you will be holding the party, along with your guest bathroom. Make arrangements to keep the family pets and children away from the party area.
- 7). Make the necessary refreshments.
- 8). Greet your guests and introduce them to the sales representative. The sales representative should assume control of the party, and let you know when you are needed. Provide a cooking demonstration, if desired, in conjunction with the sales representative to help market the product more.
