How to Suck Up Water Out of the Sink

    • 1). Place a large bucket on the floor.

    • 2). Insert the tubes of a manual siphon pump into the connections on the pump. You can purchase manual siphon pumps at the hardware store. They consist of two tubes and a hand pump.

    • 3). Place the upper tube in the water in the sink and the other tube over the bucket. Keep an eye on the bucket from time to time to make sure that you're keeping the tube aimed correctly.

    • 4). Hold the tube in the sink under the water at the sink's lowest point.

    • 5). Start pumping the hand pump to start the flow of water. Watch the bucket. Once water starts flowing, stop pumping. Keep an eye on the bucket. If the water gets near the top, pull the siphon tube out of the water.
