How to Mod a PSP Without a Pandora Battery

    • 1). Turn off the Sony PSP and remove the battery from the battery bay. Use your Phillips head screwdriver to remove the four black screws on the rear of the PSP. Remove the final screw, which is silver, from the bottom edge of the PSP. Place these screws aside; be careful not to lose them.

    • 2). Lift up on the PSP cover from where you removed the last screw. The PSP cover will pop right off. Place the PSP aside, keeping the cover in front of you. The instructions from here on depend on how you are modding the PSP. If you are merely installing a new cover, move onto step 3. If not, carefully pluck each of the button groupings out of the PSP cover. They come out very easily. Pop these buttons into the new cover, or install the new buttons into the existing cover.

    • 3). Place the cover back onto the PSP, clicking it into place. Attach the cover firmly to the PSP by reinserting and tightening the screws. Place the battery back into the PSP, and turn the PSP back on. Test all the buttons to make sure they work.
