- 1). Look over the metal pin connector on each side of the cable. The pin must be straight, otherwise it is not going to connect to the connection port on either device. When the pin is bent, straighten it out with a pair of needle-nose pliers.
- 2). Insert one end of the cable (both ends are exactly the same) into the "Out" port on the device you want to send the audio/video signal from, such as the VCR or cable receiver.
- 3). Plug the opposite end of the cable into the "In" port on the rear of the television.
- 4). Power on the two devices, and set the television to station "3." If the audio and video signals are created by the television, you know the coaxial cable is functioning correctly.
