Sick of Stomach Acid Reflux? Here"s How to Control it Finally

I don't know a thing about you, but I'll bet that you have tried every medicine and pill you could find for treating stomach acid reflux, and are still stuck with that burning sensation in your stomach and chest.
With more than 44% of the US population suffering from this problem, acid reflux has become almost an epidemic today.
So what really causes stomach acid reflux? The food that we eat, makes its way from the mouth to the stomach through the food pipe known as the esophagus.
Stomach acids then break this food down for digestion.
The entry point of the food into the stomach is controlled by a muscle band known as the lower esophageal sphincter (LES).
If this LES does not close properly, then the acid produced in the stomach can move up into the esophagus and even reach the mouth.
The burning sensation this acid produces in the chest is what we know as reflux.
There can be many reasons why the LES behaves this way.
Over eating can cause the stomach to produce lot of acid which is then difficult to accommodate in the stomach and then moves up into the food pipe.
This can cause the reflux symptoms to emerge.
Smoking, caffeinated drinks, soft drinks and alcohol relax the LES and ease the flow of acid up into the esophagus.
Some food items like tomatoes and oranges, fried and fatty foods like burgers and fries also increase the symptoms of reflux.
Going to bed too soon after eating also causes these symptoms to appear.
Most people struggle to control their reflux because they go about it the wrong way.
Taking antacids or over the counter medicines will not provide a long term solution to this problem.
These medicines do nothing to solve the root cause of stomach acid reflux and just try to handle its symptoms.
In fact, over the long run these medicines will only exacerbate your reflux problem instead of solving it permanently.
They can also cause a number of side effects like Alzheimer's, high blood pressure, slower metabolism and insomnia.
A much better alternative is to look for natural ways to control your acid-alkaline balance in the stomach.
Eating the right foods and some simple targeted exercises can provide you lasting relief from stomach acid reflux symptoms, improve your digestion and keep you healthier for a long time.
