Create a Snowboarding-Themed Teen’S Room With Bunk Beds and Study Desk

For guys who love the outdoors and enjoy spending the winter vacations at snow lodges, a snowboarding-themed space is the perfect decorating choice. The idea is to draw on the look of snow lodges to create a cozy, rustic space for your teens. Here are a few ideas to design a teens' space with a snowboarding theme.

Start by hanging an old sign on the door to your teens' room that says €Welcome Snowboarders€ like a traditional snow lodge. Paint the walls of the room an icy blue to represent the cool air of the snow-capped mountains. Create a focal wall by adding a large three-dimensional snowboarding-themed wall decal. Another option is to paint the focal wall a navy blue and use a graffiti font to write an inspirational message like €High Fives€ across it for a striking accent on your teen's walls. Vintage Vermont snowboarding signs can be ideal wall decor for this teens' room.

If your teens use bunk beds, choose furniture with a rustic pine finish. Bunks beds with hand-detailing like saw marks, cross-hatching and grooves that create the look of salvaged lumber are wonderful choices for the lodge look. Opt for coordinating cotton percale bedding with plaid patterns in colors like navy, icy blue and grey. Aluminum street signs and ski trail signs commonly found on mountainous roads leading up to ski lodges are creative ways to create mismatched side tables that harmonize with this theme.

Other teen room furniture like side tables and a study desk should also be in the coordinating rustic pine finish. Choose an ergonomic study desk with a matching chair upholstered in navy and grey fabric. Rustic desk accessories made of solid wood with a nail head trim are a great way to keep your teen's study desk organized and will tie in wonderfully with the theme.

With their colorful designs and images, snowboards are as much art pieces as a means of riding down a mountain. Include old snowboards in your teens' room decor. Create unique wall storage by using snowboards as wall shelves. Upcycle old snowboards into one-of-a-kind headboards for your teens' beds. Snowboards can be fitted with hooks and used as artistic coat racks.

Create a stylish and cozy snowboarding-themed guys' room with these simple decor ideas.
