- 1). Install foobar2000. You can download the latest copy from foobar2000.org.
- 2). Once you have installed foobar you need to configure the path to your music library. To do so, click the library tab and scroll down to configure. Next, click the "Add" button on the top right and navigate to your music folder. It may take several minutes for foobar to update your library information.
- 3). Download the iPod Manager (See Resources) and extract the compressed folder. Please note, you may need a program like 7 zip to extract this file if your computer does not support it.
- 4). Before beginning the next step, close foobar2000. Navigate to your computer's program files typically found by clicking on "My Computer" in the Start Menu and then clicking on the C drive. From the program file folder locate the foobar2000 folder and open it. Next, open the components folder.
Now, drag and drop the foo_dop.dll file from the folder in step three to the components folder you just opened. Close all windows. - 5). Open foobar2000 and plug in your iPod. From foobar you can click on "File" at the top left and scroll down to iPod to access settings. You can also right click on individual songs or albums in the foobar menu and select add to iPod.
