Ski Resorts near Colorado Springs With Military Discounts

      Skiing in the Colorado Springs area is rarely inexpensive due to the popular ski resorts in the area and the world-famous slopes. However, active duty military personnel and their dependents are eligible for discounts on lift tickets and season passes at many of the resorts in the area around Colorado Springs. A few resorts do not advertise their military discounts; however, with the Air Force Academy and Fort Carson in the immediate vicinity, many will provide discounts at ticket windows if you show your military identification.

    Rocky Mountain Blue

    • This organization was created to provide affordable skiing vacations in Colorado for active and retired military personnel. Rocky Mountain Blue has entered into an agreement with Keystone Resort for discounted lodging and lift tickets. There are discounted daily lift tickets available for active and retired personnel. The Liberty Pass, with unlimited ski season access to Keystone and Arapahoe Basin is available for active duty personnel and their dependents only. Military discounts are also available for equipment rentals, lessons and childcare. Some restaurants and spas in the resort also offer military discounts.

    Vail Resorts

    • Vail Resorts manages the ski areas at Vail, Breckenridge, Beaver Creek and Keystone. This company offers active duty military discounts on lift tickets at all of their resorts. Lift tickets can be purchased in a variety of ways, including online, at the resort, and at any number of military bases in the area. REI Stores in Colorado Springs also sell the discounted lift tickets.

    Loveland Ski Area

    • The Loveland Ski Area offers active duty military personnel and their dependents discounted season passes. These passes are for unlimited skiing at Loveland, with three free days at nearby Monarch Mountain. They are only available at the Loveland season ticket office. Passes do not go on sale until Labor Day weekend. Season pass holders also receive discounts on lift tickets for guests, childcare, restaurants and equipment rentals.
