Toronto Restaurants with a View

Dining with a great view is not only romantic, it adds to the overall experience and can even help enhance your meal. Whether you’re looking for the perfect Toronto date spot or you just want to do something a little different in the city, there are many places where you can take in awesome views while you eat.

360: The Restaurant

Look up, way up. That’s where you’ll find 360, located atop one of the tallest buildings in the world and boasting a revolving view of Toronto more than 351 metres (1,151 ft.) below.

The purchase of a main course/prix fixe meal by each guest includes access to the LookOut and Glass Floor levels of the tower. The LookOut level is 346m (1,136 ft.) up and one level below that you’ll find the Glass Floor with a view straight down through the glass – not for anyone scared of heights! 360 is also home to the world’s tallest wine cellar at 351 metres (1151 ft.)

180 Panorama Lounge

High above the city on the 51st floor of the Manulife Centre you’ll find 180 Panorama Lounge, a restaurant with some of the most spectacular views in the city. Once you arrive it’s not hard to see why Panorama Lounge has made it onto more than a few “best of” lists including Toronto’s best view, most romantic spot and best cocktails. If you happen to be visiting from April to October, that’s when you can nab a seat on one of their patios, which happen to be the highest in Canada.

Canoe

This popular Toronto spot, part of the Oliver & Bonacini family, sits atop the TD Bank Tower on Wellington, a spot that affords expansive views over the city.

The critically acclaimed restaurant is elegant without being stuffy and makes for an ideal date night spot as well as somewhere to meet with business clients or colleagues. Executive Chef John Horne’s menu puts a sophisticated twist on regional Canadian cuisine.

Toulà Restaurant & Bar

If it’s views over Lake Ontario and the city skyline you’re after then Toulà Restaurant & Bar is the place to be. Located on the 38th floor of The Westin Harbour Castle, enjoying a meal here feels like you’re practically on the lake thanks to the stellar location. Food-wise, the extensive menu is predominately Italian, filled with refined yet comforting dishes.

Against the Grain Urban Tavern

Another place to go for anyone wanting great views of Lake Ontario, Against the Grain Urban Tavern offers a casual pub-like setting that might be closer to the ground than the other spots on this list, but that doesn’t make the view any less fantastic. Most seats in the house give you a perfect sight line to Lake Ontario and the Toronto Island.

The Roof Lounge

The Roof Lounge can be found on the 18th floor of Toronto’s Park Hyatt hotel and if you visit in the summer and early fall their heated patio is the place to be for city skyline views that show off just how pretty Toronto can be. Artful cocktails, a tapas-style sharing menu and a stylish crowd round out the atmosphere. This would be a romantic date spot, or a nice place for a pre-dinner cocktail. The fireplace adds a sense of intimacy in fall and winter.
