Cell phone contracts can be easily overlooked when shopping for the newest cell phone and greatest cell phone service deals.
Contracts for service typically run two years, however there are few companies that offer one year cellular phone service contracts.
These costs are in place to protect investments made by the wireless company to make it possible to offer you the newest cell phone for free when you signed up through them.
Early-Termination-Fees can cost as much as $400 per cell phone number account cancellation.
So if you plan on switching wireless service providers or canceling your current contract, expect to pay a hefty early-termination fee.
Contracts can be renewed or extended when upgrading or replacing lost and broken phones through your cellular service provider.
For example, if you signed up with a two-year contract with a free phone and your phone breaks a year later, you can get a replacement phone for free but your contract may be extended an additional two years, which would make your contract have three years left.
There are many people that do not want to sign long-term contracts with cellular service providers and mobile phone companies, and there are just as many people stuck into contracts they would like to get out of.
Luckily, if you are one of these people, there are a few places you can go where people are buying and selling off cellular phone service contracts.
Here are a few sites you can trade-out cellular and mobile phone contracts.
*I have not tried any of these services myself, so I have no opinion on which one is "best.
