We all very well know that Indians are present everywhere in the world, in every continent and every corner i.e. from Fiji to Alaska, but not many know which foreign countries have the majority of Indians among them. So according to a study, Indians are highly present in Middle East countries, here's the detail of it:
Bahrain: 23.5%
UAE: 21%
Qatar: 20%

Now the next aspect is since these countries have a good strength of Indian community, it's important to know whether they are successful enough or not? In Middle Eastern countries, many of the business empires are held by Indians and are diversified into different fields like construction, retail, hospitality etc. I would like to list few names, who made it the most successful Indians in Gulf from many consecutive years and made India and Indians feel proud for what they belong to.
First and foremost, we have Micky Jagtiani in the retail sector, he is the richest Indian in gulf, owns Landmark Group one of the Gulf's biggest retail empires, with 900 stores in 15 countries. The company was launched in Bahrain in 1973 with just a single store.
Next we have BR Shetty, he paved a glorious path of success through overlooking the medical facility in GCC and grabbed the opportunity to make a successful business venture in this field, which later on became the most successful medical centre known as NMC Healthcare (New Medical Centre) launched in 1975. Today he has many diversified and successful business under his various business group.
Dr P Mohamed Ali, who is the greatest Indian businessman Oman has ever seen, he is the founder of Galfar, which is the largest construction and engineering company in Oman. It is also the largest private employer in Oman, which employees about 25,000 people. Started in the year 1972, it has the maximum successful projects delivered. Along with infrastructure, he has also developed the education sector of Oman through starting schools and colleges as Oman Dental College, Oman Medical College, Indian school Al-Ghubra etc.
Another Omani who made it into the list of richest Indian is PNC Menon, owner of Sobha Developers. In the year, 2007 Forbes listed him the world's top billionaires.
Yusuff Ali MA, The founder and owner of Lulu chain of hypermarkets which is the most famous and common sight in UAE. The Wall Street Journal announced him in the list of twenty most influential people in the UAE.
The list goes on with personalities like Chhabria family, Rajen Kilachand, Sunny Varkey, Ramesh Prabhakar, Tony Jashanmal etc. Indians have made a tremendous mark in the history of Middle East for themselves and the goodwill continuous till date.
