Want to Learn How to Play the Electric Guitar? You Have 3 Options

If you want to learn how to play the electric guitar, you have 3 options.
#1) Teach yourself If your budget is EXTREMELY LIMITED (zero) this is your choice.
This is the slowest method because you will have to figure everything out yourself, but if you don't have money then doing something is better than nothing.
However be warned that the success rate for the self taught is extremely low.
This is because playing guitar is complicated and it's very hard to figure out on your own.
I wouldn't recommend this unless it's absolutely necessary.
#2) Offline teacher This is the most expensive method, but is still the most popular.
The advantage is the personal attention you get from the teacher; the disadvantages are the price and the limited flexibility.
You pretty much have to go by the teacher's schedule.
#3) Online courses This is a tad more expensive than teaching yourself but is far cheaper than getting a teacher...
and it can be much faster depending on your dedication.
The reason is that you can go at your own speed because you don't have to work around the teacher's schedule.
What levels are the courses for? Guitar lessons for beginners online are readily available although there are many courses for advanced players as well.
There are both audio and video lessons online, so you can find one that matches your learning style.
So what's the best way to learn how to play electric guitar? That just depends on your budget and learning style.
If you have a very limited budget, I would suggest the online courses.
They might cost you $40-50 but you could possibly pay that to a teacher in just 1 session.
However you need to be a self starter and willing to push yourself than the online course is the way to go.
Don't forget--keep it fun This is critical regardless of the learning style you choose.
All too many people don't improve because they don't enjoy practicing.
They might spend too much time worrying about theory, or just not enjoy the songs they do practice.
As a result they lose their motivation and quit.
How can you make it enjoyable? You might try playing your favorite song when you are done practicing.
This will help you see some tangible real world results from your efforts and will help you remember why you started in the first place.
To sum up...
It's not hard to find lessons to learn how to play the electric guitar...
and what kind you choose is just a matter of personal preference.
