- 1). Gather several identically sized bottles; if you have eight, you'll be able to create an entire scale.
- 2). Fill the bottle with varying increments of water. Put approximately an inch of water in the first bottle and double the amount of water in each subsequent bottle.
- 3). Line the bottles up in order on your table. Have the children practice blowing across the tops of the bottle and discovering the sounds they can make.
- 4). Try encouraging the children to try to play simple melodies, like "Mary had a Little Lamb." Enjoy watching the kids derive entertainment from this simple creation.
