- 1). Hang the net on an overhead hook. Spread the net out by hand and inspect it for any debris, mud or traces of sea life. Remove any foreign material and allow the net to dry fully.
- 2). Put on the latex gloves. Pour 1 gallon of net dip into the clean 5-gallon bucket. Starting with the lead line, slowly flake the net into the bucket. Work the net down into the dip as you go. Allow the net to soak a few minutes.
- 3). Pull the net up from the bucket and allow it to straighten out. Place the net back into the bucket as in Step 2. Repeat this process until the net comes out of the bucket with a uniform green or black color. Hang the net over the bucket to collect the excess dip. Hang dry the net until it stops dripping.
- 4). Hang the net in a location that will allow you to spread the net out. Hang it in direct sunlight with plenty of fresh air. Dry the net in this fashion until the net stiffens and off-gasses most of the solvent smell from the dip.
