- 1). Unplug your Frigidaire dryer power cord from the dryer electrical outlet. Move the dryer two feet away from the rear wall.
- 2). Insert the putty knife blade between the front and top panels near the door seam on either corner. Press the blade in with one hand to disengage the spring clip while lifting on the corner of the top panel with your free hand. Release the opposite corner retaining clip in the same way and lift the front of the top panel back. The top panel will rest on hinges on the back of the dryer.
- 3). Lift the dryer up slightly with the assistance of a helper so that you can place a black of wood under the front of the dryer. Gently set the dryer down on the block of wood. Remove the two screws that secure the bottom of the toe panel to the dryer with a Phillips head screwdriver. Pull out on the bottom of the toe panel and pull down to release the toe panel from the dryer.
- 4). Remove the two screws that secure the bottom of the front panel to the dryer with the Phillips head screwdriver. Look on the inside of the dryer on the right corner and disconnect the door switch wiring harness from the door switch with your fingers. Remove the two screws that secure the top panel to the sides of the dryer with the Phillips head screwdriver. Lift the front panel away from the dryer.
- 5). Disconnect the thermistor from the blower housing by removing the two securing screws with the Phillips head screwdriver. The thermistor is on the front left side of the blower housing.
- 6). Place an open end wrench on the motor shaft between the motor and the back of the blower wheel. Rotate the wheel until the wrench wedges against the dryer. Use a socket wrench to remove the bolt securing the blower wheel to the motor shaft.
- 7). Remove the two screws that secure the blower housing to the base of the dryer with the Phillips head screwdriver. Insert a flat head screwdriver under the motor near the rear of the blower housing. Pry the motor up slightly and pull the blower housing out of the dryer.
- 8). Set the new blower housing in the dryer and raise the front of the motor with the screwdriver to position the bottom edge of the housing under the motor. Secure the blower housing to the base of the dryer with the two retaining screws.
- 9). Attach the thermistor to the front of the blower housing with the retaining screws. Use the retaining bolt to secure the blower wheel to the motor shaft. Remove the wrench from the motor shaft.

Set the front panel into place and secure it with the four retaining screws. Place the top of the toe panel under the front panel and secure the bottom of the toe panel with the retaining screws. - 11
Lift the dryer up with the assistance of your helper and remove the block of wood. Set the dryer back down and reattach the door switch wiring harness to the door switch. - 12
Lower the top panel and push down on each front corner to engage the retaining clips. Plug the dryer back into the dryer outlet and push the dryer back towards the wall.
