- 1). Place a splice connector over the brown trailer harness wire. Insert one end of the automotive wire into the splice connector and crimp the wire pair together with the electrical pliers.
- 2). Drill a hole in the trailer that is just big enough to accommodate the clearance lamp bolt. Loosen and remove the retaining nut and place the bolt into the hole. Go inside the trailer and replace the retaining nut on to the clearance lamp bolt. Tighten the nut with the wrench until it holds the clearance light firmly to the trailer.
- 3). Route the automotive wire to the clearance lamp location. Place a splice connector terminal on the clearance lamp power lead. Insert the automotive wire into the splice terminal and crimp the wire pair together with the electrical pliers.
